Bacon wrapped Shrimp w/ sweet-n-spicy orange glaze

Post by chef97 »

For those of us that enjoy shell fish here's a recipe that will delight your guests....

Ingredients

12 jumbo shrimp, deveined
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (the kind you shake on pizza)
6 slices center-cut bacon, cut in 1/2 crosswise
12 wooden toothpicks

Directions

Pour marmalade into small sauce pan on low then add red pepper flakes set aside. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Holding a shrimp wrap bacon around the shrimp and secure with a wooden toothpick. Wrap and secure all 12 shrimp then add to the hot pan and cook 3 minutes on each side or until bacon is crisp and shrimp are opaque and firm. Then turn heat to low and add your sweet-n-spicy orange glaze to the shrimp turning to coat evenly.... Serve as appetizers or as a center of the plate entree....

And as always, happy cooking!
