What are some of your favorite stouts?

Sorry Dude, just saw this. I like Guinness, a lot. There is nothing like a Guinness. It's a unique beer that really tastes like nothing else. Some of my other favorite Stouts are Samual Smith Oatmeal Stout, Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout (This Is Highly recommended), Blue Point Oatmeal Stout and Heart of Darkness by Magic Hat.

The Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is probably the best I've ever tasted, so I'm with you on that. I'm really a brown ale guy, so I don't have many stouts to recommend, and I usually like stouts that are borderline, not necessarily as strong or thick as others like. That said, here are some I dig:

Dominion Oak Barrel Stout (really nice, easy drinker)
Heavy Seas Pegleg Stout (strong, tasty)
Stockyard Oatmeal Stout (this is actually Trader Joe's brand, so it's weird that it's so good/tasty)
Old Rasputin (classic shit---you might like this the best)

Just a random beer you should try if you could ever find it: Steelhead Scotch Porter. Ridiculously good, smokey flavor.

Have you ever had Blue Point? It's a local beer from Long Island, it's delicious. Toasted Lager is probably their most popular but there are many others that great. Brooklyn Pennant is another local beer that I like.

Costco makes beer now. It's the same company that brews Saranac Beer (New Yorker Brewing Company) on the East Coast and Gordon Biersch does their brewing out West. They sell variety packs in this region. 19 bucks for a case and it's pretty good.

Haven't heard of Blue Point, no. My in-laws are in NYC, though, so I'm assuming I should be able to get my hands on that stout you mentioned next time I'm up that way. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have been on Jamison kick lately, i really like it with ginger ale or lemonade.

Beer any and all kinds. I am on a huge sour beer kick at the moment.

If I go with something else, I usually get a mojito or a margarita.

I also enjoy nice crisp, tart, white wines.

I love nice white wines, problem is it just goes down like water.

Mainly wine these days, usually red, sometimes white. Beer of all kinds. Scotch less frequently, neat or with a splash of water. I come from a long line of scotch drinkers.......

Vodka: with club soda, on the rocks, or in a martini.

once in a while Irish whisky, or USA bourbon.

very rarely: Brandy, my favourite is armagnac.
