Callum "Mundo" Smith (29-2, 21 KOs)
- This bout was also fought for Beterbiev's IBF, WBC, and WBO World light heavyweight titles.
- Smith came into the bout having never been knocked down. After being pummeled for six rounds, Smith was floored twice in round 7.
- After the second knockdown, Smith's trainer, James "Buddy" McGirt, signaled for the referee, Michael Griffin, to stop the bout. Wisely, Griffin did.
