- Alimkhanuly dominated and, in round 6, he hurt Gualtieri with a left uppercut. His follow-up salvo of power shots convinced referee David Fields to stop the contest.

- Goodman floored Flores in round 8. Later in the round, Flores was penalized one point for repeated low blows.
- Referee John Watson deducted a second point from Flores in round 10, again because of low blows.
- Goodman won by the scores of 118-107, 120-105, and 120-105.
