- Trailing on points, Russell hurt Rodriguez with a low blow in round 8. Rodriguez recovered and floored Russell with a right hand.
- In round 9, Russell head butted Rodriguez, opening a cut under Rodriguez' right eye.
- During the break between rounds, the ringside physician advised referee Benjy Estevez to stop the bout. The bell rang for the 10th round and Estevez stopped the bout two seconds later before the fighters could resume fighting.
- Rodriguez then won by the scores of 100-90, 97-93, and 99-91.

Note:

1. Normally, picks made for fights that end up as scratches count as picks. However, because of the number of fights scratched for COVID-19-related issues, picks made for fights that are scratched will serve as tiebreakers. For instance, two Superfights Challenge participants end up tied for first place with the same win-loss record but one entered picks for five fights that were scratched and the other entered picks for only two fights that were scratched, the Challenge player with the 5 scratches be declared the Challenge champion.

2. Make it easy on yourself- put the # of the Superfight before your pick. It cuts down on the number of fights that are accidentally skipped over.
