Ekaterinburg, Russia-

SUPERFIGHT #32-

Lightweight Bout-
Zaur Abdullaev (15-1, 9 KOs)
TKO-12 2:28
Jorge Linares (The Ring #8, TTR #12; 47-7, 29 KOs)
- This bout was a WBC World lightweight title eliminator and was for Abdullaev's WBC Silver lightweight title.
- Abdullaev rallied from a first half points deficit to knock Linares down twice in the 12th round.
- As per TTR founder Antoine Patry DesLauriers, "HARD LOSS for Linares who dominated 1st half Vs Zaur Abdullaev. Linares then IMO hurt his right & got stopped in the 12th!" Antoine also wrote, "Linares dominated the first 2 tiers by controlling distance with footwork and a busy arsenal of punches thrown from the boundary of the pocket. But he stop throwing the right in the last tier and Abdullaev picked up on it and started to dominate with quantity and body work." "Linares got too cocky and started trading in the last round... got caught, dropped, and finished with a flurry."

Manchester, Lancashire, England-

SUPERFIGHT #33-

Welterweight Bout-
Kell Brook (40-3, 28 KOs)
TKO-6 0:51
Amir Khan (34-6, 21 KOs)
- This was Brook's first bout since his TKO-4 loss to Terence Crawford on November 14, 2020 and Khan's first since his TKO-4 win over Billy Dib on July 12, 2019.
- Brook dominated, repeatedly punishing Khan until referee Victor Loughlin humanely stopped the contest.
Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico-

SUPERFIGHT #34-

Middleweight Bout-
Jaime Munguia (TTR #4, The Ring #4, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #5; 39-0, 31 KOs)
TKO-3 1:47
D'Mitrius Ballard (21-1-1, 1 NC, 1 ND, 13 KOs)
- Munguia knocked Ballard down in round 3. Ballard beat the count but Munguia's followup barrage convinced referee Juan Jose Ramirez to stop the bout.
- Munguia successfully defended the WBO Inter-Continental middleweight title for the third time.

Saturday, February 26, 2022-

Dubai, United Arab Emirates-

SUPERFIGHT #35-

Bantamweight Bout-
Vincent Astrolabio (17-3, 12 KOs)
Unan. Dec. 10
Guillermo Rigondeau (TTR #5, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #5, The Ring #7- all at 118; 20-3, 1 NC, 13 KOs)
- Rigondeaux's Lineal and Transnational Boxing Rankings Board World junior featherweight titles were not on the line.
- Astrolabio dropped Rigondeaux with a right in round 8 and went on to win by three 95-94 scores.
- Astrolabio won the vacant WBC International bantamweight title.

Glasgow, Scotland-

SUPERFIGHT #36-

Lineal, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and The Ring World Junior Welterweight Titles-
Champion Josh Taylor (The Ring #5 P4P, TTR #6 P4P, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #6 P4P; 19-0, 13 KOs)
Split Dec. 12
Jack Catterall (TTR #10, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #10; 26-1, 13 KOs)
- This bout was also for Taylor's IBF and WBO World junior welterweight titles and his WBA Super and WBC World super lightweight titles.
- Catterall threw and landed many more punches but his punch production and accuracy went down during the last third of the fight.
- Catterall scored the bout's only knockdown in round 8 but lost a point for lost a point for holding Taylor's head down in round 10. Catterall had been warned for excessive holding earlier in the bout.
- Taylor won both the 9th and 10th rounds but then lost a point for "hitting after the bell" (a tap to Catterall's midsection) in round 11.
- In my opinion, by winning the last round, Taylor won the bout.
- The scores were 113-112 for Catterall, 114-111 for Taylor, and 113-112 for Taylor.
- Scoring the bout for TTR's Main Page, I had Taylor winning, 113-112.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA-

Note:

1. Normally, picks made for fights that end up as scratches count as picks. However, because of the number of fights scratched for COVID-19-related issues, picks made for fights that are scratched will serve as tiebreakers. For instance, two Superfights Challenge participants end up tied for first place with the same win-loss record but one entered picks for five fights that were scratched and the other entered picks for only two fights that were scratched, the Challenge player with the 5 scratches be declared the Challenge champion.

2. Make it easy on yourself- put the # of the Superfight before your pick. It cuts down on the number of fights that are accidentally skipped over.
