- Taylor dropped Ramirez in round 6 and in round 7. The knockdowns proved to be be the difference between a Taylor win and a draw because all thre judges scored the bout 114-112 for Taylor.
- Andre Ward scored the bout for ESPN and had Taylor winning by a 115-111 score.
- I agreed with judges. Scoring the bout for TTR's Main Page, I also had Taylor winning 114-112.
