I'd make Ioka the favorite. He's more experienced and more skilled but Tanaka is tenacious and has refused to allow himself to lose. To me, at least, it's not an easy choice. I'm cutting my chances to win down to probably much less than one in three but I'm going with a draw.

- Both boxers were fighting for the first time since December 31, 2019 when Ioka unanimously outpointed Jeyvier Cintron and Tanaka knocked out Wulan Tuolehazi.
- Ioka floored Tanaka in round 5 and in round 6 and was leading by the scores of 69-62, 68-63, and 68-63 when the bout was mercifully stopped.
