I posted the following yesterday and wondered what happened to it. The I realized I posted it in the thread in the Boxing & Combat Sports Discussions section. So, I copied it, delted there, and posted it here:
The last Superfight of Superfights Challenge #11 appears to be a mismatch. Santa Cruz is a Top Ten fighter Pound-For-Pound and Rivera is a substitute for Miguel Flores who would also have been a heavy underdog.
I'm going with the obvious pick, Santa Cruz. I saw Rivera win a split decision over Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. a few years ago. It was a close fight. I did not see anything in that win that made me think Rivera could repeat that success against Santa Cruz. Rivera's 5-2 since the Vazquez fight. I'll be very surprised if it's not 5-3 after Saturday's fight.
