- Ms. Hermans decked Ms. Lindberg near the end of round 1. The 46-year-old challenger was able to beat referee Jean Pierre Van Imschoot's count.
- Prior to the start of round 2, Van Imschoot was informed by Ms. Lindberg's corner that they weren't permitting her to continue.

- Lubin was in control and was landing more punches than Arias. Unfortunately, the fight's ending was controversial. Arias was dropped by a punch that appeared to have been to the back of his head and he clearly beat the count, rising at "nine". However, with Arias standing, referee Zac Young uttered, "ten"!
