Berchelt_____________UD 115-113
Roman______________KO Rd 7
Lundy_______________UD 77-75
Campa______________KO Rd 5
Munguia_____________KO Rd 8

Think keeping all fights the same should be ok but am fine if you want bonus type bouts where you double points.

I'm not saying double the points. Just if we are keeping the balance the same... as some fights are 10/10 fights.. some where 9/11 fights... and givens were 7/13... things like that.

1. Miguel Berchelt | KO 8

2. Miguel "Mickey" Roman | TKO 5

3. Hank Lundy | UD (7 - 1)

4. Pedro Campa | KO 4

5. Jaime Munguia | TKO 8

------------------------

If the other guys dont show up, it'll theVAMP vs Stray.

If they do show up, maybe we can match them together... if only one shows up... we'll just mix and match the point totals between us 3 and see the different outcome possibilities...

Just thought about something... how much sense does it make if you pick all the fights the same, but different outcomes... and one gets bonus and the other doesnt... i dont think you should be able to get KO'd and you got every fight correct... so maybe something to factor in when we pick the bonus points... and KO differential .

Just noticed i picked alot of the same outcomes... hopefully someone shows up and we can match up against different people. Need to figure out a way to create a neutral party to hold the picks...

[edit]
I didn't pay attention to your picks when i made mine.. but seeing them the same does kinda make one want to change their picks... and it shouldnt be that way.

ok, that'll help...

oh, and i put rounds instead of the score... just in case theres knockdowns or point deductions and things like that... picking the score can be hard... but you'll still get credit for your fighter winning the round.

Ya that would simplify things. A little idea I will run by ya.
If it can be set up so a thread is started with the weeks fights but any posting is delayed untill Sunday that would eliminate the neutral person. Maybe David can set that up and give an administrative access to KSTAT to utilize it. If it can be done somehow we just use Fri and Sat fights.

I think i've came up with how the point system should work. It's a 10 point system. All fights are equal. And then there's levels.

5 points for getting the fight correct. 3 points for getting the method. 2 points for calling the correct round/card.

So a "perfect" prediction would lead to a score of 10. Which in turns means a score of 50 is the highest you can score for the week. Marc mentioned a difference of 20 points being possible for a KO. I think with the 50 point system, that opens the door for that to work.

Because if one were to get all the fights correct, yet the other person gets the fights correct and the methods... that leads to at least a 25 to 40 score. So that isn't a KO. But if one were to slip and miss on fight. that would be 20-40 which would be a KO. So basically, you have to get a fight wrong in order to be KO'd. Unless, one calls the round/card and the other misses on all methods, then he can still be KO'd as calling the rounds/card weighs enough to push you over the 20point threshold.

With the 50 point system, this weeks results would be.

theVAMP:8/8/10/5/8 = 39
Stray: 5/8/8/5/8 = 34

Winner: theVAMP
---

Does this work for everyone? As you can see, KO's will come from mistakes. Or just accurate picks... like a real fight.

David never chimed in, its possible he could set something up like I mentioned. Maybe a PM might reach him. I'd imagine KSTAT would want to weigh in a any changes.

Ok, right now im composing a thread that will better explain the rules and feature Week 1 fights.

Not sure where to post it... if we're posting here in the Challenge or if a new Challenge Forum needs to be created.

I titled it "***TTR: Fantasy Boxing League***".

So i guess we're waiting on approval of what do to with this. I think another Forum should be created so that the TTR Challenge forums stay intact. The history, lineage and always brings a possibility of doing it again. Not trying to replace it, this just more so evolution of the challenge to keep members engaged.

[edit]

Removed the word "Challenge" out of it... i think simply "Fantasy Boxing League" would make more people wonder what it is.

A new forum would take time. If we can get KSTAT to weigh in he might let it happen here, the other content would stay intact.
Or simplify things by continuing to call it the challenge.

Right now, my only concern is TTR Superfights Challenge #10. There are six fights left on the Superfights Challenge #10 schedule, the first of which is:
http://www.the13thround.com/phpBB2/view ... 8&t=126538

Superfights Challenge #11 starts with Sergey Lipinets vs. Mikey Garcia. If the Fantasy League is to replace the regular Challenge, it should be going by then. Otherwise, TTR Challenge #26 will start that week using the current format.

So, from the looks of it...

as far as this being Live... i guess things are on hold. This would have been Week 1.

Week 1 Fights:

1)
Vacant WBO lightweight title
Raymundo Beltran vs. Paulus Moses (12 rounds)

2)
World Boxing Super Series semifinals
WBA super middleweight title
[Champ]George Groves vs. Chris Eubank Jr (12 rounds)

3)
Devon Alexander vs. Victor Ortiz (12 rounds)

4)
WBC title eliminator
Danny Garcia vs. Brandon Rios (12 rounds)

5)
WBC super middleweight title
[Champ]David Benavidez vs. Ronald Gavril (12 rounds)

-----

If anyone still wants to have another "mock" week... or make this count... we can set match ups and make our picks... but dont think the turn out will be much.

I will put this on the B&G and see if players chime in.
Suggest a mock week if the rest of the players feel a need to get the feel of it.

If this draws some more interest we can definitely look into ways of getting it to be hidden or creating an account that can house the picks of all the players which can then be revealed when it's time especially if some sort of playoff happens.

Speaking with Stray, I had mentioned that there are not a ton of options as far as hiding responses until a designated time but I suggested, if everyone would follow through with it, that you make your picks and highlight them in black when responding on the board so that the picks are hidden unless someone highlights over them with their cursor. Basically how people hide spoilers of movies or video games these days. That was just one suggestion I thought of in lieu of actually being able to hide all messages until a specified time which I am not sure the board can support.
