Congratulations Drinquor.
You stayed the course. I completely dropped the ball these last two months... and you made it difficult to catch up as your picks were very solid.

Yep. First TTR challenge Drinquor has competed in, and he takes the whole thing. Kudos my friend. I have to settle for another 3rd place finish which is about like having to settle for just being the WBA "Regular" Champion lol.
Good job guys. Good season. With GGG-Canelo 2 and all the upcoming matchups we know about. The next season should be interesting.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
Want to try and experiment with the Fantasy Boxing League idea?
Head to Head weekly match ups?
We'd of course have to see who all wants to participate etc. Establish rules and things of that nature...
And can do a couple of exhibition weeks/pre season play.... to see if its an idea people would be into.
I dont think i'd complete a full season of the challenge again... that was the biggest challenge.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
The Challenge will still exist as we'd be using it as a way to distribute points.
I dont know if we'd need to use the Super fights doubling of point or not. But we could if everyone is okay with that.. or we can treat each fight the same.
We can do it round robin style.
Post count will determine everyone placement:
week 1:
1 vs 10
2 vs 9
3 vs 8
and so on...
Now some of the things we need to decide on are the way we tally the score or wins.
We can have a standard win/loss record with percentages etc like the Super fight challenge.
Or we can do it soccer/Hockey style where we award a win 2 points, a draw 1 point and 0 points for a loss.
Or we can alleviate draws all together and have picks with a additional tie breaker... meaning how we'd usually pick:
Fighter - UD
Figher - (T)KO
The tie breaker would be in addition to calling it, you'd have to pick the round of the stoppage and whoever is closes... gets the win... or you'd call the cards for a UD or SD etc... and whoever is closes gets it.
Every week just as in the NFL they'll be weekly match ups between posters. Now the trick is, how to get your picks in without seeing your opponents pick... unless we force the tie breaker method... i dont think people would pick the same card or rounds. Then we might not have a problem with it... or could use a tie breaker fight.. an additional fight to call in instances where members were tied. Then we don't have to worry about seeing each others picks...
We'd select a number of weeks for the challenge to end.
Now as far as crowning a champion, we can just see who has the best win percentage at the end or do it playoff style with the top X amounts facing off in a knockout round style playoff tournament until we crown a champion... or if we're doing Soccer/NFL style of earning points for W's... whoever has the most points at the end.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
Just had a wonderful idea.
If could go with the W/L style... and within match ups... if the difference between the score is substantial enough. We could determine that the one of the participants won by (T)KO. or if you call a fight exactly... thats an automatic KO.
So when we post records it'll reflect even more how good one is having a record like [ 8(5kos) wins - 1(0) loss] or something like that.
So then some players will be KO artist... some would be boxers.

Trying to figure out a way to keep players engaged so where even if you have a losing record... the chance for an "upset"... of a top player, you'd still take the fight.
We could have players check in each week if they're making picks that week... So that we are able to make match ups right... And if a player misses a week or 2... they are still in it or can come back and still have fun with the match ups...

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
Prime have time?
Splitting 20 pts seamed easy but kind of created the option of going with the favs and playing it safe.
If it was a blanket system where you get points like this
7pts for winner
5pts for outcome with 3 if you pick UD but 2 if its a SD.
And 3 pts for picking rounds of a ko but how could you award points for decision? I could suggest you post what you think the score would be and if one of the 3 judges has your score 1pt 2 judges 3pts, if all 3 have it maybe 5? You still have a chance to grab a bonus on splits.
This is pretty close to how Jetro and Knockout321 did it at ESPN.
Just throwing it out there.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
I think we should keep the scoring as simple as possible. That's why i suggested using the system that was already in place.
I can imagine whoever has to tally up the scores for all the match ups, not having a fun time if there's too many variables.
But again, what we can do... is pick a few fights... do a mock/pre season type thing... use different scoring systems and see which ones fit better.
What fights do we have this weekend? We can pick like 3 or so... and im up for it... just need 3 more people so we have 2 match ups... and see what the outcome looks like.

I know the 1st fight would be too 10 and 10.
What's the point break down of the other 2?
If no one else comes along... Marc we can have a go at it... and see how it unfolds over the weekend.

ok, seem like we like the same picks. But it still works, because what we'll do for all picks is try call it completely.
Gassiev KO round 8
Gonzalez DEC 9-3 (should we do all 3 cards?) or we just have to nail one of them?
Ancajas TKO round 5

Then maybe we just tie. Just as if we picked the same round for a KO.
I'm wondering how we should do it as well...
should we treat each fight as a round... or just use the points as well?
I think once we get the results after tonight.,.. we can use different methods or counting up the points or determining a winner and see which one works the best.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
Ok, so the results were:
Gassiev KO 12
Ramirez TKO 6
Ancajas KO 10
---
Im going to assume we both meant Ramirez for the 2nd fight.
---
So... the old challenge we would have.
Marc vs theVAMP
Marc: 32
theVAMP: 32
which would be a tie.
Now, nothing is really wrong with that... but if we wanted more definitive winners... we can the apply different cases... now i suggested whoever gets the closes... well, looking at that now... i see thats very subjective... and very grey when you start breaking down... who was more closer to a KO round.. when you think about betting factors like overs and unders.
Another idea i thought is you could treat each fight like a round.. in this case..
it would be still a draw... but if one pick were different that person would have won the battle/fight by a round.
So a draw would be possibly 1 point for each of us.. if we were doing 2/1/0...
or our record would be 0-0-1.
Those are just a few suggestions based of the mock fight... if you guys would like to add to some of them or tweak them or had you own.. feel free to post it so we can all decide.
from what i see so far... i probably like the 0-0-1 look... and old rules call it a draw.. but id still like to figure out ways how we can win by KO...

which would be a tie.

Re: TTR Challenge #25- FINAL STANDINGS
If he doesnt show up, say by Thur. we can pick a few fights for this weekend, and yall can pm me your picks.
And we can see how that goes, with the neutral member holding picks and revealing them when the fights are over.
