- Mimoune is listed as #7 at 147 and Dominguez Rodriguez as #36 at 140 in the IBO's January 2018 computerized rankings.

- Barrionuevo's WBC Latino title was not on the line.

- Barrionuevo decked Veron twice on his way to winning the rematch.
