Jimmy Lennon announced the official stoppage occurred at 0:01 of round 8 in the ring at Barclays last night. Boxrec is listing it as 3:00 of round 7. I’m seeing sources online for both 7 and 8, not sure what to go by.

That's because "officially" it is both- under NYSAC rules, it's 0:01 of round 8 but as per BoxRec, which now along with FightFax, is an official recordkeeper for the Association of Boxing Commissions, it's 3:00 of round 7.

So say for challenge purposes if someone were to call a KO in either of those rounds, they would have gotten it correct, no?

Either 7 or 8 would be acceptable under these circumstances.
