Post by straycat »

RESULTS and POINTS BREAKDOWN:

Fight #1- WBA World Super Welterweight and IBO World Junior Middleweight Titles-
Champion Erislandy Lara (Transnational #1, The Ring #1, TTR #2; 22-2-2, 13 KOs)
TKO-3 0:41
Jan Zaveck (WBA #8; 35-4, 1 ND, 19 KOs)
- The IBO #17 ranked Zaveck's World Boxing Federation World title was not on the line.
.....9 points for picking Lara plus 2 points for picking him by KO/TKO (not only were there no round predictions, there were no predictions that Lara would win by a KO or a TKO- everyone picked him by decision)

Fight #2- BONUS FIGHT-
Lineal (*), Ring Magazine, IBF, IBO, and WBO World Heavyweight Titles/WBA World Heavyweight Super Championship-
Tyson Fury (WBO #1, Transnational #2, WBA #2, TTR #3, The Ring #3, IBF #3; 25-0, 18 KOs)
Unan. Dec. 12
Champion/Super Champion Wladimir Klitschko (TTR #2 P4P, Transnational #3 P4P, The Ring #6 P4P; 64-4, 53 KOs)
- *- as recognized by TTR and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board.
- Fury came into the bout ranked #2 by the IBO.
- Only three punches were landed in the third round- two by Fury and one by Klitschko.
- In the 11th round, referee Tony Weeks penalized Fury one point for rabbit puncking.
- The scores were 115-112, 115-112, and 116-111.
- Harold Lederman scored the bout for HBO and also scored it 116-111 for Fury.
- Scoring the bout for TTR, I had it 117-112 for Fury (7 rounds for Fury, 2 rounds for Klitschko- the 8th and the 12th, and 3 rounds even including the 9-9 11th round).
- 22 points for picking Fury plus 4 points for picking him by decision

Fight #3- IBF World Junior Middleweight Title-
Champion Jermall Charlo (Transnational #3, TTR #4, The Ring #5; 23-0, 18 KOs)
TKO-4 1:16
Wilky Campfort (IBF #14; 21-2, 12 KOs)
- This was Charlo's first title defense.
.....9 points for picking Charlo plus 2 points for picking him by KO/TKO
(a "round pick" of anything other than the 4th results in a loss of one point)

Fight #4- IBF Eliminator for the #2 Spot in the Welterweight Ratings-
Errol Spence, Jr. (The Ring #10, WBC #10, WBA #10, IBF #10, TTR #11, WBO #13; 19-0, 16 KOs)
TKO-5 1:46
Alejandro Barrera (IBF #13, WBC #30; 28-3, 18 KOs)
- Spence dominated. He easily won the first four rounds and decked Barrera twice in round 5. Referee Laurence Cole wisely waved it off after the second knockdown.
.....9 points for picking Spence plus 2 points for picking him by KO/TKO.
(Good job, straycat. Give yourself 2 additional points for picking the right round.)

Tainos had Fury winning the bonus fight and picked up the underdog score 0f 22pts and set him up for the weeks high of 74, I had 2nd highest with 63. Me and Tainos moved up a few rungs and are tied for 3rd. MilMan claimed the 3rd highest total which gave him enough to be the board leader. A few DNP's allowed most others below the middle of the pack to climb up a few positions.

Place- Player (Points for the week) Total Points
1) USMILMAN-63-111
2) WillieB59-49-109
3) straycat-65-103
3) tainos-74-103
5) marciano1952-49-102
6) DBO-51-92
7) gilgamesh-59-90
8 ) Presteezh-51-78
9) KSTAT124-51-68
10) RASTA666-DNP-39
11) chef97-DNP-32

Stray, How did Millman get to 111 if he only got 48 points in each of the 2 weeks?

and how did you get to 103 with only 38 points each week?

i didnt add this weeks results so maybe you didnt edit the point totals gained thss week when you copy and pasted the standings?

Almost home but in Milly's case he had 63pts I believe.
63+48=111.
Much apologies with the oversight fellas.

Along with the discrepancy I made regarding MilMan's and my points earned this week the same thing was done with DBO.
In theses cases I added the points earned this week by the player to the 1 week total from last week but inadvertently posted the previous total as the points earned.
