So I rewatched this one this morning as I hadn't seen it since it was Live, and the close nature of it frequently comes up in conversation so I figured I'd revisit it.
I had it scored thusly
Round 1: Canelo *
Round 2: GGG *
Round 3: GGG
Round 4: GGG
Round 5: GGG
Round 6: Canelo
Round 7: Canelo
Round 8: GGG *
Round 9: GGG
Round 10: GGG
Round 11: GGG *
Round 12: GGG
So I had it 117-111 for Golovkin
The * indicates a round that I think could go either way. Assuming you give Canelo the benefit of the doubt in all of these close rounds then the best you can come up with is 114-114.
So what I see is a fight where in order to have Canelo winning you have to award him a round that he clearly didn't win somewhere in there.
Another interesting little footnote. I found it amusing that Harold Lederman had Round 7 for Golovkin even though I personally saw that as one of Canelo's few clear cut rounds.

Re: Golovkin vs Canelo 2
I will do this sometime this week. Round 12 was a swing round if you think GGG won that clean all due respect you are wrong.
