The commission in charge, the KBM, later changed the result to a KO-2 win for Casimero after concluding that Akaho's inability to continue was not caused by the accidental punch Casimero landed but by the punishment Casimero inflicted prior to committing the accidental foul. Akaho and his camp confirmed that.
