Listed below are results from title bouts of any kind and bouts featuring at least one boxer with a winning record including at least 10 victories. Bouts of special interest which do not meet the stated criteria may be included on occasion. A reason why a bout not meeting that criteria is listed will be provided.

Results will include, when applicable, divisional and Pound-For-Pound rankings of TTR and Top 10 divisional and Pound-For-Pound rankings of the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring.

- Tsutsumi, who was fighting for the first time since his 10-round, majority decision draw with Daigo Higa on October 26, 2020, floored Sawada in round 2.
- Sawada beat the referee's count. Although he fought back valiantly, the defending champion was trailing by the scores of 48-46, 49-45, and 50-44 after five rounds.
- The sixth round was action-packed with both fighters landing frequently. Tsutsumi's power, however, gave him the edge. The challenger's power advantage allowed him to dominate the seventh frame and eventually stop Sawada in round 8.

- The sixth round was action-packed with both fighters landing frequently. Tsutsumi's power, however, gave him the edge. The challenger's power advantage allowed him to dominate the seventh frame and eventually stop Sawada in round 8.
