- Gradually breaking down his challenger, the teenage champion opened up near the end of the fifth round. He kept the pressure on in round six and decked Wirojanasunobol twice. When the challenger hit the canvas the second time, his cornermen decided he had taken enough punishment. They came into the ring, thus ending the bout.
