- Salva, who knocked Taduran down in round one, lost a point for an intentional head butt in round 4.
- Taduran dominated in the third and fourth rounds, landing frequently and with bad intentions.
- Salva, exhausted and having trouble breathing, retired in his corner after the fourth round. He was removed from the ring on a stretcher and then taken to a hospital for precautionary testing. He has since been cleared medically and released.
