1994- Zack Padilla retained the WBO junior welterweight title with a 10th round TKO over former WBC featherweight champion Juan La Porte, Los Angeles, California. It would be Padilla's last bout as he was forced to retire after suffering a head injury sparring with Sugar Shane Mosley.
2004- Arturo Gatti retained the WBC super lightweight title with a second round knockout of previously unbeaten former WBA lightweight champion Leonard Dorin, Atlantic City, New Jersey. Gatti dropped Dorin for the ten-count with a wicked body shot. Dorin retired after this bout with a 21-1-1 record which included 8 wins by knockout.
