1997- The Nevada Athletic Commission revokes Mike Tyson’s boxing license and fines him $3-million for twice biting WBA heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield on the ears during their 6/28/19997 bout in Las Vegas. Tyson can reapply for his license one year from that date.

Sylvester is a German boxer and former IBF middleweight champion.
On 2 November 2008, Felix Sturm retained his WBA middleweight title via unanimous decision (118-110, 118-110 and 119-109) over Sylvester. He improved to 31-2, with one draw, while Sylvester fell to 31-3.
He won the vacant IBF middleweight champion title by beating Giovanni Lorenzo on September 19, 2009 by split decision. He defended the title successfully three times before losing it by split decision to Daniel Geale on May 7, 2011.
