Nino Benvenuti

Talk about impressive resumes. Seems like Benvenuti took on the absolute best in the sport.

What made Nino such a good fighter? How would you describe his style? Is he Italy's greatest fighter ever?

He arguably is. I'm currently managing him in a game we have going on at Boxrec that we call the Boxrec Sim. 7 weeks into the season he's still unbeaten with victories over Oscar De La Hoya and Sandro Mazzinghi along the way

But yeah onto the real guy, He'd certainly have to be in the conversation for being one of the best Italian fighters of all time. A long unbeaten streak to start his career, and victories over many decorated and highly skilled fighters.

Winning 2 out of 3 over Emile Griffith, and being 2 of the only 3 losses on Sandro Mazzinghi's record. A Champion at both 154 and 160 pounds. He was no joke.
