Re: September Basho Banzuke
Looks like Terunofuji and Hakuoho are both sitting out this tournament. I'm not surprised on Terunofuji. It's a real bummer with Hakuoho. Shit he just got here  But I suppose better to let an injury properly heal than to compete with it, and damage it worse. Sitting out one tournament would on...

Re: September Sumo Tournament (Aki Basho)
After 8 days the Co leaders are Atamifuji and Takayasu both tied with 7-1 records 4 men tied with a 6-2 record who are still very much in the Yusho hunt. Myogiryu, Tsurugisho, Wakamotoharu and Gonoyama The Ozeki's are having a tough go of it this Tournament. Especially Hoshoryu who has lost 5 bouts ...

September Sumo Tournament (Aki Basho)
So I'm spending most of my day today catching up on what I've missed of this months Sumo Tournament I'm currently on Day 6. We had 8 men sharing the lead after Day 5 and many of the ranked Rikishi struggling.

Re: Who Would've Won? Mayweather Vs Crawford
Crawford's jab would catch Floyd, but Floyd would also catch Crawford on more jabs. Crawford could also over power Floyd in the clinch, so there would be a lot of opportunity for him to land on Floyd if he tried to clinch to avoid shots. Floyd usually over powers fight opponents in the clinch and u...

Re: Who Wins and How?? SPENCE vs CRAWFORD
Yeah let me clarify my statement from earlier a little here. I think Crawford is on par with Floyd, and would be a huge problem for him in a fight head to head at 147. I do think this win over Spence, a prime, younger opponent. Is as good a win as a guy can have on his ledger pretty much. Floyd defi...

Re: Who Wins and How?? SPENCE vs CRAWFORD
Huge win for Crawford. His career defining win without a doubt. He's definitely the rock solid P4P #1 of the moment off of this win, and he would've made me $200 bucks last night, but my co worker got cold feet on Friday lol. Probably because all of his buddies were picking Crawford. I had predicted...

Re: July Sumo Tournament
Hoshoryu finally gets a Yusho, and I'm pretty sure earned himself promotion to Ozeki as well. Huge result for Hoshoryu this Tournament. Hakuoho the rookie is definitely gonna be one to keep an eye on going forward. I’m hoping the way he had his shoulder wrapped the entire tournament isn’t a sign of...

Re: July Sumo Tournament
Alright so I've finally caught all the way up. Very interesting tournament so far. Nishikigi is looking fantastic all through this tournament so far. Hoshoryu and Daiesho are doing excellent. Daiesho took a loss on Day 11 putting him likely out of reach for the Yusho. It's gonna take some getting us...

I just got back from a trip to Alabama so I'm playing catch up on this Tournament. Watching Day 5 today. Will comment further when I catch all the way up.
Bummer that Teru is injured again.

Re: SPENCE vs CRAWFORD
I'm so sick of hearing about these Prima Donna non fighting motherfuckers. I truly can't stand either of 'em at this point, and they play a big part in my just losing interest in Boxing entirely. Whoever is trying to promote this fight. Should start offering them less and less money with each passin...

Re: Five reasons to watch the Natsu Basho
Try here: https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/tv/sumo/ It looks like the highlight show I watch on my cable channel. It shows every match for the top division, just none of the rituals or anything. This is actually the way I was first exposed to Sumo. This English commentary version of it on their c...

Re: Five reasons to watch the Natsu Basho
Each Tournament it's getting increasingly frustrating to follow Sumo. I always watch it on YouTube on the NattoSumo channel, and they keep taking it down. In it's place there keeps being 40 second highlight videos, but nothing where you can just watch all the highlights at once. If this continues my...

Glad that Teru is gonna be back next time. It always kinda sucks the drama out of the Tournament when the higher ranked guys all wind up dropping out.

Re: Sumo News
Man that sucks. He had been on quite a roll. It's always brutal when injury gets 'em at a crucial moment. Takakeisho in the last Tournament was on the verge of possible Yokozuna status with a Tournament win or a Double digit winning record of 12 wins or so, but his body just couldn't hold up, and no...

Bivol vs Beterbiev probably will.
Spence and Crawford. At this point I just want those 2 to get beat up, and put out to pasture. Crawford is the biggest waste of talent I've ever seen personally.
Had the potential to be a true All Time Great. Ducked everybody there was to Duck.

Re: Fury-Usyk off
None of the big fights ever happen anymore. You always got either 1 or both fighters involved in a negotiation these days being a Prima Donna.
In this case it's definitely Fury that's the problem.
Boxing needs a complete reset somehow. The business model for the sport is broken.

Re: Ranking The Top 30 Heavyweight Boxing Matches Of All-Time
Toward the end of the list the writer has just kinda given up, and is just naming recent bouts.
Brewster vs Liakhovich, Chuvalo vs Floyd Patterson should probably be on there.
I'm not sure if Wlad vs Lamon Brewster 1 was on there, but that was pretty dramatic and memorable.
