Re: Foreman KO 2 Norton
I always remember the way Foreman is standing in front of Norton, and giving him a menacing look like "Do you really need more?" right before the fight gets called off.

Re: March Banzuke released
There’s been some great sumo in this months tourney. A rookie, for the first time in 110 years, will win the tournament tomorrow with a win. The only other rikishi in the running is also new to the division as this is only his second tournament in it. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but rest ass...

What are the Streaming services for Boxing these days?
Might seem like a stupid question, but I'm so out of the loop I don't even know where you watch the sport anymore in most cases. So my Boxing minded people. What are the outlets for the Sport of Prizefighting that I should be aware of these days? I'd assume ESPN+ is still a thing. I don't know if DA...

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Rounds 11 thru 15: Berbick steps on the gas a little bit more in the 13th and 14th, but he just can't match Holmes' skill and loses all of these rounds too.
I got it 14 rounds to 1 for Holmes.

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Round 7: Holmes mostly in control in this round as he had been in the previous rounds, but we have a burst of excitement at the end of the round as Berbick bulls Holmes to the corner and unleashes a flurry at him, even while doing so however Holmes gets the better of the punch exchange and comes out...

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Round 3: An even round for the first few minutes. In the final minute Holmes lands a solid left hook to Berbick's body that seems to noticeably hurt him, and some good combinations down the stretch to seal the round. Berbick still giving a spirited effort. Round 4: The first very clear round of the ...

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Larry Holmes vs Trevor Berbick Holmes had piled up several easy title defenses in a row, with little difficulty coming in any of them except for the knockdown in the 2nd Shavers bout, and some fits from Mike Weaver. He had knocked out all 8 of his challengers up to this point in his reign. Round 1: ...

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Larry Holmes vs Scott LeDoux This is another easy defense for Larry Holmes. The rugged LeDoux could always be counted on to do his best, and try his hardest, but he's just so badly outclassed here that other than a few wild overhand rights he finds very little success against Larry, and takes a beat...

Re: Inside the Title Reign - Larry Holmes
Larry Holmes vs Leroy Jones Now this fella Leroy Jones may well be one of the least deserving Heavyweight title challengers of all time. He came in undefeated, but was pudgy and out of shape, and not particularly skillful. Holmes had an easy time battering this guy with several jabs and right crosse...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F7cggqDX0AABnQY?format=jpg As stupid, and as much of a farce as us Hardcore Boxing fans know this to be. This is probably the biggest Box Office Fight in Boxing right now. Just by surviving Jermell keeps his name out there for at least 2 or 3 more big fights. Boxing loves to recycle the guys that lose to the big names.

Even though they're both American since Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson in Tokyo, Japan. Does that count? He was damn sure a long way from home, and even though they're respectful people and all that. I'm pretty sure the people of Japan came to see The Monster Mike Tyson destroy somebody, not the unk...

Re: September Sumo Tournament
Takakeisho comes to even terms with Atamifuji on Day 13, and then takes a 4th loss on Day 14 as Atamifuji gets a win to regain his position as sole leader. If Atamifuji wins his bout on Day 15 he's the winner of the Yusho. If he loses we potentially have a multi-man playoff. Excitement guaranteed fo...

Re: Floyd Maywethear isn't even close to the GOAT
Depends on what you consider to be close. I'd have him as DEFINITELY in the all time Top 15. Possibly Top 12. To me that's close. I would too haha. I think his skills are really overrated though. Everyone in the top 12 or whatever probbaly has even better skills, they just aren't as rangy and ridic...

Re: September Sumo Tournament
Ahh that sucks In Today's Sumo news. Atamifuji remains atop the leader board, but his lead narrows as he takes his 2nd loss. This puts Takakeisho back in control of his own fate in the Tournaments outcome. Takakeisho and Takayasu are behind Atamifuji on the leader board at 9-3 each. Takayasu has alr...

Re: September Sumo Tournament
Atamifuji remains sole leader after Day 11 with a victory over Tobizaru. There are 3 men who are 2 behind him with 3 losses on their record, the only one I see as a threat to Atamifuji's lead possibly is Takakeisho. It'll be interesting to see how they match Atamifuji in the coming days, and if he c...

Re: September Sumo Tournament
Atamifuji becomes the sole leader today with a victory over Takayasu in Day 10. Takayasu becomes the Co-leader with only 2 losses. Everyone else has 3 or more.
Takayasu looked to have taken a heavy landing in his loss today. Hopefully it doesn't affect his performance going forward.

Takayasu and Atamifuji remain the Co-leaders after 9 days and are both the first to reach Kachi Koshi in this Tournament. Securing their 8th win on the 9th day of the Tournament. I'll tell you another strange example of Boxing Karma. I don't know if this quite counts, but it's a humanitarian enough thing to see in the ring that it's worth mention IMO. In the Emanuel Augustus vs Ray Oliveira fight. At some point Oliveira gets a shot on the back of the neck during an exchange ...

Victor Ortiz headbutting Floyd, and then thinking he could hug him until he forgets, and instead getting knocked the fuck out. His headbutting came right back to him in the form of a punch instead of a hug lol.
