Former three division world champion Johnny Tapia (56-5-2, 28 KOs) will return to the ring after a three-year absence Saturday. He will be taking on former sparring partner Jorge Reyes (21-27-3, 17 KOs) at the Ohkay Casino of San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico, United States.

The fight, originally planned as an exhibition by Team Tapia Promotions, has now been approved by the San Juan Athletic Commission.







On the undercard, Tapia's son, Jonathan Chavez Tapia, will be turning pro. Jonathan, who only fought five times as an amateur, is trained by Henry Anaya, Jr.
