On Saturday, January 9, at the Bordelandhalle in Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany, three boxers currently ranked by TTR's membership, Robert Stieglitz, Denis Boytsov, and Khoren Gevor, fought as scheduled. The three, the first of TTR's ranked fighters to see action in 2010, were victorious.

Stieglitz, TTR's #8 ranked super middleweight, retained his WBO title by stopping TTR unranked Ruben Eduardo Acosta at 1:48 of the fifth round. Stieglitz upped his record to 37-2 with 23 KOs while Acosta, who was a late substitute for Stieglitz' originally slated opponent Edison Miranda, fell to 23-4-5 with 7 KOs.

TTR's #9 ranked heavyweight Boytsov, who holds both the WBA Inter-Continental and WBO Europe titles, knocked TTR unranked Kevin Montiy at 1:56 of the 2nd round of a non-title bout. The 23-year-old Boytsov improved to 27-0 with 22 KOs. Montiy, a 34-year-old journeyman, fell to 17-7-1 with one No Contest and 13 wins by KO.

In his first appearance since dropping a decision to WBA champion Felix Sturm in their spirited contest last July, Gevor, TTR's #6 ranked middleweight, scored a 10-round, unanimous verdict over TTR unranked Jeferson Luis Goncalo. The scores were 96-94, 98-94, and 99-91. Gevor is now 31-4 with 16 KOs while Goncalo, who lost for the fifth time in his last six outings, slid to 19-8-3 with 10 KOs. Among the others who have defeated Goncalo during that stretch are welterweight sensation Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (KO-9; the only time Goncalo has been stopped) and TTR #10 ranked middleweight Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (UD 10).

The card also featured six other bouts.

WBC, WIBF, and WBO female teatherweight champion Ina Menzer (26-0, 10 KOs) retained her titles by scoring a 6th round TKO over previously unbeaten Ramona Kuehne (15-1, 4 KOs).

Undefeated heavyweight Manuel "Diamond Boy" Charr (14-0, 7 KOs) stopped former contender and one-time WBA heavyweight title challenger Owen "What the Heck" Beck (29-4, 20 KOs) at 2:44 of the 10th round.

Up-and-coming cruiserweight Mateusz Masternak improved to 17-0 with 12 KOs by knocking out Tino Froehlich (6-8-1, 0 KOs) at 2:38 of the 2nd round.

Journeyman heavyweight Zack Page (20-27-2, 7 KOs) upset 2000 Olympic heavyweight bronze medalist Sebastian Koeber (19-1, 13 KOs), winning a majority decision after 6 rounds. The scores were 58-57, 59-56, and 57-57. Page has scored a number of upsets during his career including 10-round decisions over former WBA light heavyweight champion Lou Del Valle and veteran heavyweight Cisse Salif, an 8-round duke over then unbeaten Eugene Hill, a third round knockout over previously unbeaten Kasim Howard, and a 5th round TKO over IBC champ Hector Ferreyro.

Heavyweight prospect Christian Hammer (5-1, 3 KOs) unanimously outpointed late substitute Remigijus Ziausys (8-24-2, 5 KOs) by the scores of 59-56, 60-54, and 59-55.

Former world amateur champion Golden Jack Culcay (2-0, 1 KO), fighting as a light middleweight, halted Dmitrijus Sidorovicius (2-1, 1 KO) at 2:30 of the first round.
