TTR'S RANKINGS THROUGH SEPTEMBER 18 POSTED
Pictured: Saul "Canelo" Alvarez

TTR's Posters' Pound-For-Pound and divisional rankings based on fight results through Tuesday, September 18, 2018 were compiled and posted on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 and Thursday, September 20, 2018. There were changes in the Pound-For-Pound rankings and in the rankings for thirteen of the seventeen divisions. Most notable was that TTR has joined The Ring and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board in recognizing Saul "Canelo" Alvarez as the world middleweight champion.

Alvarez had been suspend by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for the banned substance clenbuterol in February and March of this year. As a result, he forfeited his place in TTR's middleweight rankings. He served his suspension and subsequently tested clean. However he did not fight his way back into the rankings. He has now and, in my opinion, is the #1 contender for the still vacant world middleweight title. Therefore, again in my opinion, it would take Alvarez-Golovkin III to crown a middleweight king barring a draw, a No Contest, a No Decision, or a positive PED test.

However, I've been overruled.

On September 17, during a survey conducted at the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, DBO (Derek Bonnett) opined that Alvarez should be recognized as the champion and in TTR's rankings section, gilgamesh (Bobby Davis), in his middleweight post, now lists Alvarez as the champ.

Thus, the TTR members currently participating in the middleweight rankings have, by a 2-1 margin, opted to recognize Alvarez as the middleweight champion of the world.

Note: the rankings to the right are, obviously, outdated. TTR's new rankings are as follows:
