- On April 11, 2018, #1 ranked Donnie Nietes voluntarily relinquished the IBF World flyweight title to campaign as a junior bantamweight. He is currently ranked #1 at 115 by the WBO and is scheduled to fight for the vacant WBO World junior bantamweight title on September 8, 2018.
- #4 ranked Daigo Higa has been suspended indefinitely by the Japan Boxing Commission.
