Teshigawara and Funai Win Regional Title Bouts

Earlier today in Tokyo, Japan, Hiroaki Teshigawara made his second successful defense of the WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title and former Japanese super flyweight champion Ryuichi Funai won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific junior bantamweight title. Both knocked out former world title challengers.

Teiru Kinoshita (26-3-1, 9 KOs)
- Two-time IBF World junior bantamweight world title challenger Kinoshita is currently ranked #4 by the WBO Asia Pacific.
- Teshigawara has won his last five bouts- TKO-2 over journeyman Junny Salogoal, TKO-5 over hard-punching Keita Kurihara, TKO-10 over former WBO World title challenger and defending WBO Asia Pacific champion Jetro Pabustan, UD 12 over Jason Canoy, and now the KO-5 over Kinoshita.
