- Andreev ended the competitive contest with an uppercut followed by a solid four-punch combination of hooks and crosses.

Champion Vage Sarukhanyan (WBC #12; 17-2-1, 4 KOs)
- Despite having been decked in the third round, Sarukhanyan was ahead on points and in control going into the seventh round.
- In the seventh, Sarukhanyan pinned Futa on the ropes only to have the veteran challenger snatch victory while on the verge of defeat. Futa ended the bout by dropping Sarukhanyan with a devastating left hook to the jaw.
