The year ended with Naoya Inoue as TTR's #1 ranked contender for the vacant World junior bantamweight title but Inoue has announced his intention to campaign as a bantamweight and is expected to relinquish the WBO World junior bantamweight title in the near future. TTR will continue to rank Inoue at 115 until he officially cuts ties with the division.
