During the three-day period of Thursday, September 14 through Saturday, September 16, three bouts featuring fighters not currently ranked by TTR which may impact TTR's rankings were held in the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and the Ukraine. Those bouts were won by Javier Fortuna, Jonas Sultan, and Viktor Postol.

- Postol, fighting for the first time since losing by UD 12 to Terence Crawford on July 23, 2016, weighed in at 143. Najmiddinov weighed in at 142 3/4.
- Although in control for most of the bout, Postol did suffer a fifth round knockdown. He recovered and went on to win by the scores of 98-92, 97-92, and 97-92.
