- #7 ranked Javier Mendoza was stopped by Mexican flyweight champion Ulises Lara in the 4th round of a scheduled 10-round, non-title bout on October 22, 2016. Mendoza weighed in at 112 1/2; Lara at 115. (Note: Mendoza last won on May 30, 2015 and last fought as a junior flyweight on December 29, 2015.)
