During the three-day period of Wednesday, January 25 through Friday, January 27, four boxers ranked by the participating members of TTR as being among the best currently fighting in their respective divisions were in action. Three, Wanheng Menayothin, Yodmongkol CP Freshmart (AKA Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep), and Felix Alvarado, were victorious while one, Melvin Jerusalem, lost a very close decision to Menayothin.

Champion Wanheng Menayothin (birth name: Chayaphon Moonsri; TTR #1, Transnational #1, The Ring #1; 45-0, 17 KOs)

- All three judges had the bout even, 38-38, after four rounds.
- Referee Celestino Ruiz penalized Jerusalem one point for a low blow in round 8.
- After eight rounds, the judges all had Menayothin ahead, 77-74, 78-74, and 77-74 respectively.
- The point deduction in the eighth round proved to be the difference between a win for Menayothin and a majority draw because the final scores were 114-113, 115-113, and 114-113.
- Scoring the bout for TTR, I also had it even after four rounds, 38-38, Menayothin leading 77-74 after eight, and the champ retaining his title by a 114-113 score.
- This was Menayothin's sixth successful WBC World title defense.

- Scoring the bout for TTR, I also had Yodmongkol winning 117-111. Lauza started well and was competitive throughout the bout. I had him winning the first three rounds and he came close to winning the 10th.
