During the two-day period of Friday, January 13 and Saturday, January 14, seven boxers ranked by the participating members of TTR as being among the best currently fighting in their respective weight classes were in action. Three, Erislandy Lara, Anthony Dirrell, and Juan Carlos Payano, stopped their opponents; two, James DeGale and Badou Jack, fought to an exciting draw; and two, Jose Pedraza and Ievgen Khytrov, were pounded into defeat.

- Lara scored a questionable knockdown in round 3 but in round 4, there was no question regarding the legitimacy of the knockdown. Lara dropped Foreman for the full ten-count with a devastating uppercut.

- After Khytrov beat the count in the sixth, Aleem's subsequent attack convinced referee Eddie Claudio to stop the bout.

- After six rounds, Davis was leading 59-55 on each of the three judges' cards.
- In round 7, Pedraza was down for the first time in his career. He beat the count but referee Ricky Gonzalez wisely halted the contest.
