The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board's rankings- based on fights held through August 9, 2015- were posted on the Transnationals' website August 11, 2015. There were no changes in any of the divisional top tens nor in the Pound-For-Pound rankings but one lineal world title has been relinquished.

Danny "Swift" Garcia, now ranked as the #10 welterweight contender, confirmed to Board member Jake Donovan that he will no longer be defending the world junior welterweight title and that his move to the welterweight division is permanent. Thus, the "throne" at 140 has been abdicated and the lineal world junior welterweight title is "OPEN."

Garcia won the vacant WBC World super lightweight title in March 2012, unified the WBC and WBA World super lightweight titles and won the vacant Ring Magazine World junior welterweight title in July 2012, and captured the vacant lineal World junior welterweight title in September 2013. Besides relinquishing the lineal championship, he has also vacated the WBC's and The Ring's titles as well.

Lucas Matthysse, TBRB ranked #1, and Viktor Postol, TBRB ranked #8, will be fighting for the vacant WBC title on October 3. (The WBC ranks Postol #1 and Matthysse #2).

The Ring title was first listed as vacant on August 4. The WBA still lists Garcia as its Super champion at 140 but notes his "status is under review."
