During the three-day period of Thursday, June 4 through Saturday, June 6, six TTR ranked contenders and one lineal world champion were in action. On Thursday night, Jayson Velez won a "stay active" bout. Two days later, Thomas Oosthuizen lost his IBO title on the scales but won his bout, Robert Guerrero, WBA title-holder Jesus Cuellar, and Marvin Sonsona won their bouts, and Miguel Cotto retained the world middleweight championship by dismantling Daniel Geale.

- Velez weighed in at 128; Ramirez at 127 3/4.
- Velez dropped Ramirez in the second round and went on to win by the scores of 99-90, 98-91, and 98-91.
- Scoring the bout for TTR, I also had it 98-91 for Velez.
