Saturday, April 11 saw 9 pugilists ranked by the participating members of TTR as being among the best currently fighting in their respective weight classes in action. The nine went 5-2-2. Viktor Postol, Danny "Swift" Garcia, McWilliams Arroyo, Roman "Rocky" Martinez, and Pedro Guevara made up the victorious quintet; Lamont Peterson and Orlando Salido comprised the defeated duo; and Andy Lee and Peter Quillin hung a draw on each other's ledgers.

Brooklyn, New York, USA-

Welterweight Bout-
Viktor Postol (WBC #1, The Ring #7, TTR #8, TBRBoard #9- all at 140; 27-0, 11 KOs)
Unan. Dec. 8
Jake Giuriceo (17-3-1, 4 KOs)
- Postol weighed in at 143 3/4; Giuriceo at 142 3/4.
- The scores were 80-72, 80-72, and 79-73.

Non-title Middleweight Bout-
WBO World Champion Andy Lee (The Ring #6, TTR #8, TBRBoard #10; 34-2-1, 24 KOs)
Split Dec. Draw 12
Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (TTR #2, TBRBoard #2, The Ring #2, WBO #2; 31-0-1, 22 KOs)
- The bout was originally to have been for Lee's WBO title but Quillin failed to make the 160-pound limit.
- Lee weighed in at 159 1/2; Quillin at 160 1/2.
- Quillin scored a solid knockdown in the first round and a questionable one in the third. Lee scored a solid knockdown in the seventh.
- The scores were 113-112 for Lee, 113-112 for Quilin, and 113-113.
- Steve Farhood scored the bout for NBC and had Quillin winning 113-112 while I scored it for TTR and had it a 113-113 stalemate. Like judge Glenn Feldman, I scored the third round 10-9 for Quillin, not because of the nature of the knockdown but because Lee fought well the remainder of the round. By doing so, Lee trimmed Quillin's round-winning margin by a point.

Non-title Welterweight Bout-
Lineal (as recognized by TTR and the TBRBoard) and Ring Magazine World junior welterweight champion/WBC World super lightweight champion/WBA World super lightweight super champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (TTR #14 P4P; 30-0, 17 KOs)
Maj. Dec. 12
IBF World junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (TTR #2, TBRBoard #2, The Ring #2; 33-3-1, 17 KOs)
- The bout was fought with a catchweight of 143 pounds in effect.
- Garcia weighed in at 142 1/4; Peterson at 143.
- The scores were 114-114, 115-113, and 115-113.
- Steve Farhood, scoring the bout for NBC, also had Garcia winning, 115-113. I scored the bout for TTR and, like judge Don Ackerman, had it even, 114-114.
- Peterson, who was overdue for a mandatory title defense, had been given three options by the IBF- make a mandatory defense, fight in a world title unification bout, or fight a non-title bout with the understanding that a loss would result in forfeiture of his title. Peterson chose for the third option. As a result, by losing, he forfeited his IBF title.
- Garcia, also overdue for a mandatory defense, last made a title defense, an optional one, on March 15, 2014.

San Juan, Puerto Rico-

Vacant WBO Latino Flyweight Title-
McWilliams Arroyo (IBF #5, TBRBoard #8, The Ring #8, TTR #9, WBO #11; 16-2, 14 KOs)
TKO-3
Victor Ruiz (WBC #40 at 115; 18-5, 13 KOs)
- Ruiz was a late substitute. Arroyo was originally slated to fight Ismael Garnica (13-6-1, 5 KOs) for the vacant title.

WBO World Junior Lightweight Title-
Roman "Rocky" Martinez (The Ring #5, TTR #10, TBRBoard #10, WBO #13; 29-2-2, 17 KOs)
Unan. Dec. 12
Champion Orlando Salido (TTR #3, TBRBoard #4, The Ring #6; 42-13-2, 1 ND, 29 KOs)
- Martinez floored Salido twice- once in round 3 and once in round 5.
- Salido lost a point because of a low blow in round 11.
- The scores were 114-111, 115-110, and 116-109.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico-

WBC World Light Flyweight Title-
Champion Pedro Guevara (The Ring #1, TTR #2, TBRBoard #2, WBO #6; 25-1-1, 17 KOs)
TKO-1 2:31
Richard Claveras (WBC #14; 12-1-2, 12 KOs)
- In their February 2015 ratings, the WBC had Claveras ranked #35. Claveras knocked out WBC unranked Demsi Manufoe in the first round in defense of the OPBF title on January 31 and, as a result, was ranked #26 in the WBC's March ratings. Without the benefit of an additional bout, Claveras was elevated to #14 in the WBC's April 2015 ratings, just in time for his bout with Guevara.
