During the two-day period of Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16, thirteen fighters currently ranked by the participating members of TTR as being among the best of their respective divisions were in action. Eight, Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo, Denis Shafikov, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Jorge Linares, Deontay Wilder, Omar Figueroa, Anthony Dirrell, and Kell Brook, were victorious while five, Rustam Nugaev, Firat Arslan, Daniel Estrada, Sakio Bika, and Shawn Porter, suffered defeats.

In a bout held August 16 featuring fighters not currently ranked by TTR which may impact TTR's rankings, Golden Jack Culcay outpointed Isaac Real.

- Piriyapinyo stayed active fighting on the undercard of the Thewa OnesongchaiGym-Xian Wei Qian WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) featherweight title bout. (Qian outpointed Thewa over 12 rounds.) Chonlatarn, AKA Chonlatarn OnesongchaiGym, held the ABCO featherweight title from 2004 until he relinquished it in 2012 after signing to fight for the WBA World featherweight super championship.

- Shafikov avoided Nugaev's bombs and countered effectively to Nugaev's head and body.
- As the fight went on, Shafikov was able to inflict more and more punishment. Referee Jack Reiss wisely halted the contest in the ninth round.
- With the win, Shafikov became the mandatory challenger for the IBF title.

- Scoring the bout for TTR, I also had Brook, who landed the cleaner punches, winning 116-112. Porter was the aggressor but Brook was in control.
