Week 1: TTR Fantasy Boxing League

Post by theVAMP »

Rules/Regulations:

Top 5 Fights of the week will be selected for picks.

Fights are graded on a 10 point system. All fights are equal.
There are 3 levels of points distribution which are reach as one picks correctly.

1st Level: 5 points for picking the correct winner.
2nd Level: 3 points for getting the method.
3rd Level: 2 points for calling the correct round/card.

Correct predictions of a Draw is an automatic 10 points.

Score card picks will be picked by rounds. (Ex: 8-4) You will only need to get 1 out of the 3 cards correct.

If the difference in the total of points between the to participates is 20+ points then the fight has reached the "KO Marc". Which the winning participant will be award victory by KO.

So a "perfect" prediction would lead to a score of 10. Which in turns means a score of 50 is the highest you can score for the week.

If everyone could report to the thread today, we can pick the match ups.
I originally wanted to use post count as rankings, and use the standard 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 style matching. Then we'll go for match ups that havent happened after that.

The day before/morning of the fights we'll have a "weigh in". Which is basically the deadline to have your picks in. Prime will serve as the mediator. We will report to the thread and inform the rest of the participates that you have sent your picks to Prime.

If a member does not check in, it is concluded that that member has "missed weight".

If your opponent misses weight and another member's opponent has missed weight, you can agree to a short notice fight and match up with each other. (Given both of you have made weight).

Well...my picks are in.

Nothing to do now, but wait for the action to kick off. Will reconvene in this thread to discuss how Week 1 of our Fantasy League played out after the results have become official.

Since me and Marc fought in the "amateurs "...

I'll sit out this week so we have all fresh match ups.

And it can be stray vs marc.

Suggestion, maybe the odd players could be "late replacements" if one of the participating member doesn't enter his picks on time

Yeah I thought about that.

But I wanted to keep the freedom of agreeing to face each other.

Because well... if this were to take off... we'd learn each other's picking style and that could effect the way you make your picks in a given match up.

I'll send my picks in the morning just in case.

But I wanted the feel of a real bout agreement.

Let me know when you want the picks published.

Ok, so all picks are in?

We could wait until after the fights to post the picks so it's like revealing scorecards.

Me and Astor were pretty well on the same boat on most of those picks. I reckon it was picking Castano by TKO that put him over the top. Congrats Astor. I'll be back for Week 2 against somebody.
