JIMMY BIVINS
I was impressed with the result of Bivins vs Archie Moore in August 1945. Bivins destroyed Moore via 6'th round KO.
"Moore was knocked down three times in the 2nd round. He was counted out on the 3rd trip down, but was hit with an uppercut while he was on the floor. The judges decided to give Moore a five minute rest and awarded him the round on a foul. Moore was dropped twice more in the 5th, and once more in the 6th for the count".Boxrec.com
Apparently "The Old Mongoose" got his revenge, but none the less Bivins earned himself a great win that night.
KSTAT, is this Bivins greatest victory??

The win over Moore might have been his most impressive but his wins over Burley, Yarosz, Soose, Lesnevich, Maxim, Charles, and Marshall were just as important. Even his wins over Christoforidis (especially the second one) and Bettina were very big as well.chuck9788 wrote:I was impressed with the result of Bivins vs Archie Moore in August 1945. While Bivins scored some meaningful victories after 1945, he was phenomenal from 1940 through 1945.
